Rio hotel & casino houses over 2500 rooms that invite thousands of guests each year. According to the latest news, this buffet is gone for good. I simply can’t recommend staying at Rio Las Vegas although I suppose the good news for Caesars Entertainment fans is they have tons of other (and better) options on the Strip.Note: The Rio Las Vegas Buffet, known as Carnival World Buffet, is currently closed, even though the Rio resort is open. The property is dated on every level and some of the staff doesn’t seem to care. It truly is sad to see how far Rio has fallen from its heyday, but alas that is exactly what happened. With a location off Strip, a building in desperate need of TLC and employees who could use A LOT more training, this place has great history and quirks, but it isn’t somewhere you should stay. Overall I can’t recommend this property and I just don’t see where it fits within the Caesars Entertainment lineup nor the Las Vegas casino lineup as a whole.

From serious issues with the front desk to no open restaurants my stay wasn’t a positive one, although I did manage to find some positive aspects to share with you. Unfortunately my Rio Las Vegas review isn’t a positive one, but that probably isn’t a surprise if you watched/listened to MtM Vegas where I talked about why I almost walked out. I was there on opening night to review the hotel and see what this property looks like after being closed for so long.
